Every time our wedding comes up in conversation with our family and friends the phrase "Erin was so great" is usually spoken. We cannot imagine a better photographer for our wedding. Erin’s background in photojournalism gives her a unique approach to wedding photography, allowing her to blend in and seemingly be everywhere at once. We were initially wary of what it would be like to have a photographer follow us around for the day, but Erin immediately made us feel comfortable. She has a great sense of humor, which comes across in her photographs. Her photographs of our wedding truly capture us and our day. In addition, Erin makes high quality digital files available on the internet for our friends and family to download without charge. We are so grateful for Erin. - Jill and Danny, Seattle, Washington

We are so happy we chose Erin to photograph our wedding in Sayulita! She was great to work with right from the start. Obviously her photography and ability to capture the moment are amazing, but she's also the coolest chick ever. One of our main requirements were that we didn't want to feel like there was a camera in our face the whole time and we were much more into someone capturing people enjoying themselves instead of portraits/posing. She definitely delivered on all of that and everyone comments on how amazing our wedding photos are. You really feel like you have one of your best friends photographing the wedding. She has a great eye for taking unique photos and isn't afraid to get right in there! Thank you so much Erin! - Maya, Brisbane, Australia

There are 3 things I wouldn't change about our wedding....

1.) My wife 2.) The location 3.) Erin Parker!

My wife and I had always known that we wanted a destination wedding. We met at one, and knew it was right for us. The question was; where? We fell in love with Sayulita. I proposed at Hotel Villa Amor. And we decided on the flight home that that was the place. Our wedding planner, Karen Ruezga, provided a list of photographers she had worked with in the past, so we set up conference calls with three. I have been in sales for years and know that to get the right product, at the right price, you have to explore your options and be patient. Weigh your choices carefully, and make a measured, sound, decision. That all went out the window when we spoke with Erin.

First of all, she responded faster and more frequently than anyone else we reached out to. Secondly, after we got on a "short" conference call with Erin, we didn't stop gabbing for over an hour. It was like we were old friends who hadn't talked in forever. You know, the kind that you don't speak with for months or years and it doesn't matter, you just pick back up where you left off. That was key to us. We knew we were on the same wavelength. Erin has a wonderful down-to-earth quality that is charming and endearing. Having viewed her work - I already earmarked her as my favorite - and speaking with her, we knew she was the one. We cancelled our other calls right after hanging up. She asked the right questions, gave us her honest opinion, and sincerely wanted to know us, our friends, and our family, so that she could do her best work. Taking it to another level, she was ultra flexible for us. Rehearsal/rehearsal dinner the first night. Wedding the second. And our son's birthday party/"trash the dress" photos the third day. How awesome is that? She was there not just for our wedding, but to capture the highlights of the whole trip, the adventure. And in some ways, she was our guide. Not to mention the personal gestures. She and I loaded up into her "beach mobile" the first night so that she could take me into town for medicine for my son. Above and beyond, ladies and gentlemen. Above an beyond.

This beautiful and charming character of hers shows through in her work. It's her attention to details, the candid and personal touch, the way she captures the natural moments... You will not be disappointed with her. Or, the memories her work will invoke decades later - transporting you back to that place, and those precious seconds. When we came home, I put together a 20 minute slideshow of the long wedding weekend for our Michigan reception. At the end, everyone stood up and cheered! They experienced what it was like to be in that beautiful place, sharing that time with us. Erin's work did that. -Brandon, Lincoln Park, Michigan

My wife and I decided on 5 things that were important to us in regards to selecting a wedding photographer.

1) Style of Photography
2) Will the Photographer be willing to share a full wedding gallery and not just a few great pics.
3) Must encompass all traits of a professional photographer
4) Willing to define very clearly their prices and what you are actually getting and what you will own after the wedding.
5) Compatibility

We interviewed several photographers and it wasn't till my wife came across Erin Parker's website did we find a photographer that would meet all of our above bullet points.

After meeting with Erin we knew instantly we had our professional photographer. What we didn't know was that she would not only meet all our criteria but exceed all our expectations. Erin immediately felt like she was part of the family and put all our guests, wedding party, and most importantly the bride at ease.

What we personally loved about Erin is she understood that the day was about the Bride. She politely and with amazing tact avoided getting sidetracked by that uncle or aunt we all have that wants to start their own private photo shoots. She politely declined their requests and remained focus on the bride and capturing her big day.

We loved her documentary style pictures and absolutely loved the fact that she put so much time and thought into her shots. Please note she did do a run thru with us and let us know what to expect and also explained to she wanted to capture particular shots due to lighting, crowds, etc . She came to our wedding rehearsal and spent time with our family and went over how she would shoot the pictures the day of the actual wedding which put the entire wedding party at ease.

She embodies every aspect and trait of a professional photographer and our wedding coordinator said she was an absolute pleasure to work with and responded in a timely manner to all our wedding coordinators emails.

Both my wife and I absolutely loved Erin on a personal level. We found her to be funny, clever, and very easy going.

In the end we feel like we made a friend for life.

Erin knows how to get a good shot. She learned that from studying and working as a photojournalist. Just as important is the work that she does communicating, planning and listening. She's always present and can be firm when necessary to bring order to the day. She's encouraging and has the confidence that comes from being witness to many marriages. But what stands out for me is her ability to get everyone to relax and have fun in front of the camera. We knew that the photos were not something that we needed to worry about when we hired Erin. In the end, we will cherish the hundreds of images that she captured. Oh, and being married is awesome! Thanks, Erin! - Miguel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

When we first came across your info, we instantly knew that you were the person we wanted to capture our day.  Now months later, after seeing tons of phenomenal pictures of magic moments (that make me happy cry) and a new friend in our circle, we’re SO glad we went with our gut.  I can’t imagine anyone else being there with us through the whole process and beyond.

The photos are perfect! When looking back on our wedding week, the moments we spent with you were some of my favorite. You are a great photographer but more importantly an incredible human! Thanks for being you as I feel totally lucky to have you as my photographer and our confidante leading up to and durning our wedding week.  I wish you all the health, wealth, and wisdom in the world and hope our paths cross again in the future.

You are awesome.  These  photos are amazing.  You’ll get ALL the credit!!! - Jen & Nate, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Where do I even begin when describing our time with Erin Parker?? Working with her was like a dream. I truly could not have asked for a better teammate, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer to capture memories to last a lifetime. Erin is a story teller, and told the events of our wedding with the photos she gifted us. She was incredibly personable from the first time we met her on our scouting trip, and was easily accessible through email and phone conversation thereafter. Erin is very professional, down to earth, and has a way of putting everyone at ease with her humor and wit; not to mention her creativity and artistic eye! This gal is something special, and truly has raw talent that captured the genuine, emotional moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Erin went above and beyond, and was incredibly adaptable. To paint this picture a little further, my groom and I did our first look pictures with Erin, but then missed our ceremony and reception due to extreme illness. However, we made an appearance at the reception once we got home from the hospital, and she captured the emotion of our arrival, and the reception that followed (without us), to the point that we can look at the pictures and live vicariously through them. She has a unique way of capturing the energy of the moment, that allowed us to be transported to that period of time. Erin, we love you and are forever grateful for having met you. Thank you for telling our story through photos that will be cherished for many years to come!! - Lindsay, Seattle, Washington
